Zesty Betsy has online shops at several venues. These are the shop policies applicable to all of her shops.

*Custom Orders
I do custom orders.
Do you see something you like, but it's not your size or color or favorite stone? Fall in love with a sold item? Want a bracelet or earrings to go with a necklace? If so, I would love to talk with you about a custom order! Perhaps you need more than I have listed in the shop?
Please don't feel shy even if you're just curious ~ I work mostly in silver and gold, some copper and brass ~ and for fun paper and plastics. I love gemstones, beads and crystals. Etching and imprinting personalizations are always welcome requests.

*Payment
PayPal is automatically accepted on all listings.
Zesty Betsy can accept your credit card directly, or if you would like to make arrangements to use Google Checkout, I'd be open to that as well. I've found it to be easy to work with.
Send me a note if you prefer alternate payment methods. Bank transfers are not accepted at this time. (While common in the rest of the world, bank transfers usually have a high fee associated with them in the USA.)
Items will be reported and re-listed if payment is not received within 3 days, unless alternate arrangements are made.
Payment for custom, special, or cut item orders is requested prior to starting work.

*Taxes (Ugh)
Do I have too? If you purchase and ship your items within Massachusetts, yes, a 5% sales tax will be added when you check out thru PayPal. On the plus side, if you also happen to be somewhat local to me in Boston, arrangements could be made for a pick up to eliminate any shipping (-:

* Shipping Method
I do combine shipping on multi item orders.
My default shipping rates are for US Postal Service First Class, and include Delivery Confirmation and Insurance. The Etsy interface has a single option for shipping costs, so the rates listed are guesstimates where I used the farthest service zone from Boston, MA, USA. Other sites allow for more flexibility in shipping services, Packaging and handling charges are included in the figure. You will never pay more that the listed figure; and quite often will receive a refund if the amount was an over-estimate.

Do you need it faster? Let me know. Depending upon your needs and ultimate location ~ how fast you need it, tracking options, etc ~ shipping methods may be adjusted as you need. During the December holidays look for special Priority and Express shipping listings.

*Shipping address
Is this a gift? Are you shipping to someone else? I'm happy to so this as a service to you.
I generally want to ship to the confirmed PayPal account address if you do pay with PayPal. They offer some address verification assurances; please make sure your PayPal address is up to date. I will ship items as gift deliveries, just make a note in the "note to seller" so I won't delay the shipping, since ~ If there is a difference between a shop and the PayPal address ~ I will contact you to confirm the the correct destination. I include a little note tag and omit an invoice/packing slip on gift orders.

*Shipping Times
Normally, items are shipped out within 48 hrs of receiving confirmed payment, except Sundays & holidays when the post office is closed. Usually faster! Customized items will note in their descriptions if there is a lag time for creating or customizing the items.

If an item does not arrive domestically within 7-10 days (international ship times will vary and may be as long as 6 weeks to some locations!) or it is damaged in shipping (on no!), please contact me...Because shipments are insured, if you do receive a package with evident damage, documentation and packaging must be retained. It's best if you suspect damage (the package has foot prints for example) that you take photos prior to opening it. Photograph the contents as well.

*International shipments
I love shipping to my international customers and Zesty Betsy will ship anywhere in the world but, some items are restricted – such as seeds and organic materials - so some listings in the shop are without an international shipping option. If you do find that the items are allowed, I will happily update the listings and ship to you.

*International shipments customs, tariffs, VAT, import duties
More taxes? maybe... Some items, most often high value items, may be assessed custom tariffs, taxes, or duties. All such local government fees are the normal responsibility of the purchaser.

*Return policy
I want you to be a pleased & very happy with your purchases. When possible, you may return your item for an exchange / credit. Exchanges up to your purchase price are accepted for 10 days after receipt of the items, less any shipping charges. Please contact me for additional return information. Do not return items without prior communication. Credits will be processed within 48 hours of receipt of goods. Some jewelry, earrings specifically, may not be returned by law. Zesty Betsy cannot accept returns or refunds on special order, imprinted, or custom items.

*Coupons, discounts, sales
Do you have a discount coupon or code? Please use them before midnight Eastern of their expiration date. Just type the secret phrase or number code in the "Notes to Seller" box as you check out. A refund will be issued via PayPal. :D
Sales are not retroactive for prior transactions, nor are they applicable to other Zesty Betsy stores, or subsequent transactions. Sale prices are either refunded to the PayPal/Credit card thought PayPal, or an invoice is generated and sent to the email address used for the purchase.

Just a reminder ~ I do my best with descriptions, but monitor colors and display are not uniform! and the size of items can be difficult to guess. If you have a question, use the contact link in my shop, or send me a message to Betsy@ZestyBetsy.com. I will answer promptly.

All Zesty Betsy (and Zesty Beads) items are created and stored in a smoke-free environment! Alas the cats do enjoy helping me in every way they can ~ holding down paper, helping me list items by sleeping on the keyboard, eating beading wire ~ I keep them out of the craft room, and the studio but *sigh* somehow they do get into the things you want them to leave alone.

Where you won't find me ~ similar usernames

User names are really difficult to protect. My business name is Zesty Betsy, but I have a couple ZestyB usernames because of the length/repetition or in the case of my Google ~ to match the truncated user names.

So ~ there are many places you can find me online. Most as Zesty Betsy (zestybetsy) but some with ZestyB.

I do have an underused WordPress blog as ZestyBetsy. (Not ZestyB - that is not me. :D)
I am ZestyB.etsy.com tho ~ I didn't like ZestyBetsy.etsy.com so I also have a ZestyB@gmail to match it.


Why the disclaimer? Recent zestyb searchers turn up other people with some interesting thoughts on life. My own interesting thought are mine / we aren't the same person...

It is a motivator to kick up my own blogging I suppose since there isn't much else to do about it :(
